Bellydance Fusion

Ancient Dance to Modern Beats - an open level bellydance class.

Bellydance originated out of the middle east, it is generally a torso-driven dance, with an emphasis on articulations of the hips and flourishes with the arms. Bellydance classes include: Percussive movements - Staccato hip movements to punctuate the music or accent a beat; Fluid movements - Flowing, sinuous movements in which the body is in continuous motion, which may be used to interpret melodic lines and lyrical sections in the music; Shimmies, shivers and vibrations – Small, fast, continuous movements of the hips or ribcage, which create an impression of texture and depth of movement. Shimmies are commonly layered over other movements.

Bellydance Fusion classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels. 

 

5Rhythms®

Flowing. Staccato. Chaos. Lyrical. Stillness.

Through the practice of 5Rhythms® learn to creatively express aggressiveness and vulnerability, emotions and anxieties, edges and ecstasies. This practice reconnects the body to cycles of birth and death and hooks into humanity and the spirit of all living things. Within the group context a connection and community is created. The 5Rhythms® movement is medicine, meditation and metaphor. Part of the fun lies in peeling back layers, laying masks down, and dancing till we disappear… Only to rediscover so much more!

Suitable for all ages and fitness levels. 5Rhythms® requires no previous dance experience.
