AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness & Yoga

AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness is a whole body modality designed by Christopher Harrison to increase one’s overall health and physical agility. The Aerial Hammock is a soft trapeze and a support to master simple inversions and advanced poses. The technique was originally created for performers, it has been modified and perfected for the everyday yogi.

AntiGravity Yoga (prati gurutva) is a style of yoga and a fitness technique that utilises the practice of awareness of body, mind and spirit. As you practice AntiGravity you not only become more efficient with your movement and more confident about physicality, you will be more attuned with your breath, body and mind. AntiGravity has two meanings 1) playing within the laws of physics and 2) against graveness ~ to stay light-hearted. In classes all students play, stretch, meditate and have lots of fun!

What To Expect

Our FUNdamental, Restorative & Yin, Cardio, Explore, Flow & Open Classes are all suitable for beginners. You do not need to be an experienced yogi or fitness practitioner to gain the benefits of Aerial Yoga & Fitness. 

FUNdamentals ~ a fun and carefree beginners introductory class.

Restorative & Yin ~ the hammock is lowered close to the ground to enable longer transitions and stretches. These classes are very beneficial for injury and illness recovery as well as advanced stretching.

Cardio Workout & Biceps/Triceps ~ build upper body strengthening and core conditioning.

Explore & Flow ~ Aerial classes with a twist! Enjoy different sequences, learn more about the hammocks and play with all the possibilities of our air born practice. 

Open Classes ~ an open level Aerial Yoga class with a few challenging postures thrown in!

Intermediate/Advanced ~ suitable for students ready to advance to the next level in their Aerial journey. Students must be able to invert without assistance before attending this level. Speak to your instructors before booking.

What To Wear 

• T-shirt with short sleeves or long sleeved – NO SINGLETS or ZIPPERS***

• Leggings or long soft pants (preferably opaque)

• A pair of clean socks

*** You will not be allowed to use the hammock without long pants or shirt sleeves. Please be aware that NO JEWELRY is allowed in the hammock and NO ZIPPERS and NO HAIRCLIPS or anything that could possibly snare the hammock fabric (you may choose to wear sticky plasters over jewelry or piercings).

Please avoid skin foundation make-up. NO BODY TAN & please check all nails are well manicured.

Please ensure you have read and understood all of our terms and conditions. Listed below are some of the contraindications that one needs to be mindful of – if you have any of these pathologies or if you are unsure we recommend that you consult your medical professional before attending class.


Pregnancy, Glaucoma, Recent Surgery, Heart disease, Very high or very low blood pressure, Disc herniation, Severe vertigo, Severe sea-sickness or travel sickness, Osteoporosis/Osteoarthritis/severe arthritis, Recent head injury, Fainting, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sinusitis, Hiatal hernia, Recent stroke, Cerebral Sclerosis, Botox (within 6 hours).
