Shandor Remete is the founder of Shadow Yoga, he has been practising yoga since the age of six. Over the last four decades Shandor, through his practice and study, has been researching the common principles shared between yoga, the martial arts and the Ayurvedic and Siddha systems of medicine. His research has included an intensive study of the application of Varma Kalai (Marma Sthana).

Shadow yoga runs courses and workshops in Europe, Russia, Israel, Asia, the United States, New Zealand and Australia. MOVING THE SHADOW (CHAYA SANCHALANAM) Sanchalanam ­ refers to a flowing or spiralling form. This form is for building the inner power mechanism.


Moving the Shadow consists of stances, forward, backward and twisting movements with inversions in a flowing manner. It is to facilitate uninterrupted flow of breath, co-ordination, strength, stability and flexibility. This is a general level course, open to students with previous yoga experience.
